Design steps for mould sample are as following:
a. According to the mould drawing, analysis and understand the design intent, structure features and technical requirements of the mould and take these into consideration when designing model.
b. Determine the locating basis of measurement position and model.
c. Confirm the usage of sample, special requirements must be explained.
d. Calculate process dimension and dimension deviation.
e. Number all the samples, and mark on the mould drawing.
f. According to factors like production batch, mould accuracy, molding cycle and production conditions, put forward technical requirements.
g. Put forward sample processing scheme, write process planning.
Requirements include:
a. Correctly control the measured shape, size, and precision.
b. On condition of ensuring quality, try to reduce the sample number.
c. When measuring complex style samples, local plane model and whole plane model should be designed according to actual needs and processing sequence.
d. In addition to the locating surface, try to avoid repeat between sample molded surfaces, prevent interference phenomenon.
e. Reasonable structure, good manufacturability, convenient to use and repair.
f. Determine model accuracy properly, select sample materials correctly.
g. Batch production of mould with high accuracy requirement, designing inspection sample can be considered.
